The European Grand Prix in Valencia has been moved ahead in the 2010 Formula 1 calendar. Instead of being in late August like in 2008 and 2009, in 2010 the race is scheduled for late June.
The unforgiving Mediterranean heat was tough on drivers and fans a like with temperatures reaching 40C during the afternoon.

Still, the European Grand Prix is a great weekend. Valencia is a modern city which offers a unique blend of historic and futuristic architecture, fantastic night-life and beautiful beaches.
Public transport in Valencia is excellent with the airport connected with the city via the metro service and the city officials even have the metro running 24/7 for the European Grand Prix.
