Honda quit Formula 1

After spending the whole of last season concentrating on developing a competitive car for 2009, Honda have announced their exit from Formula 1. It is sad and somewhat worrying.

Honda Racing boss Nick Fry insists it is business as usual for everyone involved in the team and there are at least three potential buyers. Let us hope this is the case.

Even if the price is 1 Euro, as suggested, funding in the region of 50 million Euro will be need for next season.

The biggest worry is about the other teams who may be struggling financially. Ferrari, McLaren and BMW are quite safe due to their success and fanbase, but what about Renault, Toyota and Williams?

Is it possible that we will see only a dozen cars on the grid in Melbourne?
