Fan Reviews:

“Valencia is a fantastic city with a mix of old town, nice beach and modern museums. The GP is really well organised and only a metro ride away from the city. We didn’t have to queue once all weekend for the transport or to get in to the circuit. It is very easy to combine a trip to the circuit with a trip to the beach or a visit to the aquariam.

The view from G4 is good with plenty of big screens but it is a fast corner so there is no opportunity for overtaking there.
The only downside to the circuit is the lack of facilities and there is no where to go when you are not in your stand. It is easy though to get in and out of the gate if you need too

Overall, a great place to visit with a good atmosphere and probably only matched by Melbourne for circuit access. ”

“An excellent experience overall. the arrangements for collecting the tickets and the staff at the Accreditation Centre were really good. Getting to the circuit using the Metro was efficient and quick. We had good seats and an excellent view for a street circuit plus large screen TV to follow events.

The arrangements for getting in and out of our stand and the circuit overall were excellent and efficient – this allowed us to get out of the circuit and have lunch at a restaurant on Malvarossa Beach during a break between races/qualifying.
A terrific experience which I will be repeating!! ”

“What can I say, excellent weekend and with having the weekend pass we were able to get free tickets to a pit walk which was fantastic. We were in row 5 of Grandstand G4 and again we couldn’t have asked for better view of the track. Some say its a boring track but I love it and can’t wait to return.

The only comment was the weather it was extremely hot over the race weekend and especially on the Sunday with temperatures reaching 40 degrees, this shouldn’t be an issue next year as I understand they are looking at moving the race to the end of June when it is a bit cooler.

Go enjoy the race and enjoy the fabulous city of Valencia. ”

Vettel Wins In Valencia - European GP 2010

Sebastian Vettel claimed his first victory since the Malaysian Grand Prix in April and put his world championship challenge back on course with a commanding lights-to-flag display in Valencia.

World championship leader Hamilton bounced back from a drive-through penalty, but German Vettel proved equal to the challenge.

McLaren’s Jenson Button was third after escaping with a five-second penalty for an offence under the safety car.

Both Ferraris lost out in their pit stops. Alonso was third behind Vettel and Hamilton when he stopped under the safety car on the 10th lap, but emerged 10th by the time things settled down on the 12th lap. Felipe Massa fared even worse, having to wait for his team mate to be serviced, dropping from fourth to 17th. They were doomed from that point onwards.

On a great day for Williams, Rubens Barrichello brought his FW30 home fourth after Kobayashi’s late pit stop, ahead of Renault’s Robert Kubica and Force India’s Adrian Sutil, who drove a great race for Force India and likewise benefited over team mate Vitantonio Liuzzi when both pitted at the same time when running nose to tail.

Valencia 2010 Race Report

Valencia 2010 Qualifying

The European Grand Prix 2010 has been moved two months earlier in the F1 calendar and that can only be a good thing. The unforgiving heat at the end of August takes its toll on spectators and drivers alike.

Rubens Barrichello won on the street circuit in Valencia in 2009, but as usual the Spanish Formula 1 fans will expect a good race from Fernando Alonso who will be wearing the colours of Scuderia Ferrari in 2010.
