Melbourne will host the Australian Grand Prix between 25 and 28 of March 2010. Usually a season opener, in 2010 this event will be the second race of the season.
In 2009, Brawn GP had a dream start of the season with Jenson Button winning the Australian Grand Prix and Rubens Barrichello making it a memorable 1-2. The win surprised many because only a few weeks before the start of the season it wasn’t clear if Brawn GP will on the grid in Melbourne, following Honda’s withdraw of Formula 1.
