Brazilian Grand Prix Experience:

“V was a great stand and is highly recommended – good views, good food and free beer, nice and calm, more corporate but still typically brazilian atmosphere.

Just watch yourself on teh way in and out of the track! ”
martin bentley

“I’ve been twice to the Brazilian Grand Prix. The first was in Stand M which is opposite the pits, covered and with a TV. The second was in Stand F (slightly more expensive) is far better for driver viewing but because it has no TV, it’s hard to keep up with what is going on. Going again this year (2005) but really difficult to decide which stand to use. ”
Nick

“Grandstand m gives u full view of pitlane and first corner action also some view of starting grid main straight very good view also a tv screen to watch action ”

The Ferrari team have made it clear that they want to start off the competition with the best chance possible, mainly because they were not on top of their game in 2011. They have only won one race in the past year, that being the British Grand Prix with Alonso and now they have announced that they believe they have the car to win many more this year. They have called it the F2012 and it has many new and improved features.

There is now a step on top of the nose of the car. This means that the vehicle is able to meet rules which regulate the dimensions of the chassis. In addition to this, the lower part of the chassis has been lowered as much as possible to improve the aerodynamics of the whole vehicle. These changes will be apparent to those who avidly support the Ferrari team. Those who have been waiting to see the new model unveiled, taking part in other activities such as playing partypoker to take up the time, will now be able to judge for themselves whether or not they that think this new car will enable their team to win more often than they did in 2011.

The car is much narrower than that of last year, as well as being more tapered. Aerodynamics are also a concern with regards to the exhaust outlets, which are sited low down. An interesting feature is its pull-rod front suspension system, making this the first F1 car in 10 years to carry such technology. Apparently the F2012 is not the most attractive piece of racing equipment, however Alonso has made it clear that he is not fazed by the appearance, and is looking forward to seeing what this car can do.

The future of the European Grand Prix in Valencia is in doubt after the city’s government indicated that it wants to renegotiate its race fee.

Jose Ciscar, vice-president of the Generalitat Valenciana, said he was embarking on a “complete and thorough review” of the major events budget.

Valencia has a contract to host the race on a street circuit on the city’s waterfront until 2014.

Ciscar does not rule out cancelling the race. “We do not discount anything.”

He also said that he would be contacting F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone to discuss the city’s wishes.

The move makes Valencia, which is reputed to pay in the region of 25 million Euros (£20.6m) a year to host the grand prix, the second race to ask Ecclestone to reduce F1′s fees.

Korea, which made its debut on the calendar in 2010, is also reconsidering the future of its race.

There are also doubts about two races on the 2012 calendar – Bahrain because of ongoing unrest in the Gulf state and the new US Grand Prix, on account of delays in building the track in Austin, Texas.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Experience:

“We had a fantastic weekend at the Abu Dhabi grand prix!!! We drove from Dubai everyday and the journey was easy with the track and car parks well sign posted and well organised. We NEVER had to que for anything, car parking, shuttle buses, entrance to the circuit, entrance to the f1 rocks concerts all extremely well organised. A first class example to the rest of the world of how it should be done ”
S Holden

“This was our first time watching live F1 and it was amazing. Our view was superb and there was lots to do. Would highly recommend ”
Jim Grieve

“From first ordering the tickets to requesting additional information on the seating, and then parking tickets as well, the service received from bookF1.com was superb. The facilities at Yas Marina were brilliant – (however, there were NOT enough water stations which meant we had to buy water) – but transport to and from car parks was excellent – and watching Sir Paul McCartney under the stars after an exciting GP was close to perfect! ”
R Graham

“Second year running for us . This is the Monaco of the middle east and well done Abu Dhabi for showing the rest of the world how it should be done. Great off track entertainment as well SIR Paul Macartney was fab. Will opt for north stand next year”
Paul & Richard Kings Hill

“Fantastic views of race, great facilities but food quality and variety could have been better. Overall a very well organized facility, lots of guides to provide information and directions etc ”

Indian Grand Prix Experience:

“While the stands, parking and views were pretty decent there were still a lot of things that need improvement. I list some of these below.
1. More screens which are bigger – with one screen for one stand (I was in Classic West 2), it was impossible to see it from all the seats.
2. Better information and speakers – I had no clue what was happening, who was at what position etc.
3. Expensive – food and drinks were highly overpriced.
4. No indication of where toilets etc where, atleast in the stand i was in.
5. Parking – car parks were on sand that in some cases trapped a few cars. ”
Herschel

“The organisation for the circuit access was extremely disappointing. It’s not possible that from New Delhi downtown to the circuit it took us 4 hours and we got too late to the start. ”
Tomas Alonso

“The race was overall good, but the access to there was so poorly planned. It took us 3 hrs to get and 3 hrs to come back and it was chaos all over. The food stalls were high priced and below par food ”

Korean Grand Prix Experience:

“My ticket was for Jb but as this grandstand wasn’t finished I had to go to another stand. I can recommend stand F or G for views.

I would recommend taking a packed lunch. Mokpo good place to stay and I found a motel on Friday of race weekend just by the train station very easily.

Shuttle buses to the circuit were free and painless going in. However, getting back out was another matter. Mokpo buses were very infrequent, so be prepared to wait for onr. Traffic was a heavy, but not unexpected.

Despite it not being finished and the stop start issues due to rain, it was a great weekend! ”

Japanese Grand Prix Experience:

“Stayed in Nagoya for the weekend. Travelling to Suzuka Circuit Inou takes about an hour. If you’ve got a JR pass, just get on the train and expect to pay 200 yen when you get off. The train station is very busy at the end of each day but they’re really well organised so the wait is acceptable. Great atmosphere, big queues for food and toilets on race day, buy souvenirs early, they sell out fast. From my seat in E1, I could see 3 areas of track and a small video screen. It was a superb weekend, well done Jenson! ”

Nik, UK

“I very much enjoyed going to the Sazuka circuit but it would have been much better if I could have heard information about what was going on, both in qualifying & the race. The large screen TV was too far away to read the details of times/positions. Would have been OK if I had taken my binos. ”

Ray Clipson

“Tickets were very reasonably priced. We only attended the race day as were travelling in Japan.

Only problem was that we purposefully selected seats with a view of a giant screen as we would not be able to follow the commentary as it would be in Japanese. This was the only reason we chose to sit where we did. When we arrived there was no screen. There was an incident on the first lap and to this day I still don’t really know what happened. As this was the exact reason we chose seats with a screen this was annoying.

Getting to the circuit was realtively easy via public transport and it was a good day ouy.

The circuit had run out of beer by the time the race started! ”

Nic, U.K.

“Having only spent just over a £100 on the tickets for the weekend I was worried about the view, however there was nothing to fear had an excellent veiw twice firstly as they went under the crossover and then again as they went over the crossover.

The organisation was amazing even on race day we were back in Nagoya within 2 hours. make sure that you have Cash with you as their is no ATM’s that accept UK cards in Susuka.

Japan is an expensive place to visit but worth every penny!”
Sweeney

“Long queues for the buses once you have left the train station. You can walk in about an hour if the weather is nice. Make sure your shoes are suitable to walk in as the distance from where the buses drop you off is still a short hike. Very little English at the circuit so be prepared, also programmes areall in Japanese.

Be prepared for wet weather, and I do mean prepared!

That all said it was a fabulous weekend with a cracking view of the first corner and the first crashes.

Enjoy ”
Allison

“Extremely well organised grand prix. Recommend booking a local hotel if attending more than one day. Suzuka circuit easily reached by rail from Nagoya. ”

Oliver Rowland will have a Formula One test with McLaren after collecting a coveted award previously won by the likes of Jenson Button and David Coulthard.

The 19-year-old won the Autosport British Racing Drivers’ Club award, which also includes £100,000 in prize money and full membership of the BRDC.

Rowland was runner-up in the Formula Renault UK race series in 2011.

The winner was announced after evaluation in Formula 2, HWA Mercedes-Benz DTM and McLaren MP4-12C GT3 cars at Silverstone, and Rowland said that it had been far from a smooth year.

“I don’t know what to say,” Oliver Rowland said. “It’s been a difficult year for me. I lost someone very close to me in [karting guru] Martin Hines, who passed away this year. He’s helped me for six or seven years. I’ve had lots to learn this year in my first year of Formula Renault. I have learned a lot and now I’m here. I just can’t believe it.”

The award is backed by McLaren, motorsport magazine Autosport and the BRDC. It was set up in 1989 to acknowledge young racing drivers from the UK.

Meanwhile Germany’s Sebastian Vettel, a double world champion after winning his second successive Formula 1 title with Red Bull this year, was named as International Racing Driver of the Year.

Force India F1 driver Di Resta was named Rookie of the Year.

Singapore Grand Prix Experience:

“We had an amazing time at the Singapore GP. Our Pitlane seats were great, right opposite the Red Bull and McClaren garages as requested. Felt that we were right in the heart of the action and enjoyed every minute of it.

The only downsides were the state of the public toilets and the fast food vendors, not very good! The best place to get food was at the Flyer where there was a good choice and not bad prices.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which was wonderful. We watched some support races from our room and it only took us a short time to walk to the Grandstand. ”
Peter and Prue Le Tissier

“Superb organisation for the whole event, plenty of staff about to help or direct and they were all happy to do so. All facilities were clean and plentiful. Seats we had on the Pit Grandstand were excellent, high enough to see over the fence and into the pits and along the track but close enough to fel you were in the action. Only small minus was the catering seemed worse this year than in 2009, long queues and not a good choice. Easy walking access to the circuit from our hotel near Clarke Quay. ”
Ian & Pat Brett

“It was a enjoyable experience and was thorougly enjoyed. The access to the circuit was easy to get to ”
Matt Lander,

“If you haven’t been you must, it was the most exciting place to be, we sat between turn 7 and 8 where Michael decided to end his race, I must say that a lot of action took place along this stretch of the circuit. We have been to many races but Singapore is now one of our favorites its a beautiful city a must for any racing fan. ”
Mcliff

“We had a fantastic time in Singapore !
The whole race weekend was well orgainised with lost to do and all in all it was superb. The tickets supplied by yourselves arrived well in advance of me leaving for Asia and the whole party enjoyed themselves. So Many Thanks ”
