BMW To Quit Formula 1

Another big car manufacturer is quitting F1.

BMW Quits F1

After the withdrawal of Honda in December, BMW have just announced they will quit Formula 1 at the end of the season.

A decision which may be surprising, but makes some sense considering BMW poor results.

The German manufacturer, who too over Sauber 4 years ago, had high hopes.

To win the world championship was to be achieved within 3 years.

BMW didn’t even come close to it.

The only F1 win for the team came when Kubica won the Canadian GP in 2008.

This is not the first time BMW quits F1, the team was involved with Brabham in the 80s and with Williams later on.
