Breaking News – Schumacher makes shock F1 return

Schumacher is making a shocking return to F1. The seven-time world champion will replace Felipe Massa until the end of the season, reports say.

Schumi is to make an appearance in Valencia 2009, European Grand Prix.

F1 fans can’t wait to see how the young guns like Hamilton, who is yet to comment on Schumacher’s return, will fight with the best F1 driver of all time.

One thing is for sure, tickets for all races until the end of the season are selling fast!

Quick recovery to Massa and good luck to Michael Schumacher!

BMW To Quit Formula 1

Another big car manufacturer is quitting F1.

BMW Quits F1

After the withdrawal of Honda in December, BMW have just announced they will quit Formula 1 at the end of the season.

A decision which may be surprising, but makes some sense considering BMW poor results.

The German manufacturer, who too over Sauber 4 years ago, had high hopes.

To win the world championship was to be achieved within 3 years.

BMW didn’t even come close to it.

The only F1 win for the team came when Kubica won the Canadian GP in 2008.

This is not the first time BMW quits F1, the team was involved with Brabham in the 80s and with Williams later on.

Lewis Hamilton won the Hungarian Grand Prix to take his first win since October last year.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen came second and Mark Webber was third.

Fernando Alonso’s team made a huge error which cost them top finish in Hungary. Renault will probably miss the next race in Valencia.

Brown GP suffered, which has surprised even Button. He admits that his car is not as good to drive as it has been in previous races.

Well done too McLaren and congratulations to Hamilton on his first win of the season.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be back here after what feels like such a long time away, and such a struggle with me and my team. I’m just so proud of the guys,” said Hamilton.

This was Mark Webber’s first Grand Prix win after 130 F1 starts.

Sebastian Vettel makes it back-to-back one-twos for Red Bull. Felipe Massa completes the podium for Ferrari. Then: Nico Rosberg, Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello, Fernando Alonso and Heikki Kovalainen.

Webber is only the third Australian to win in F1 – and victory moves him up to third in the championship standings behind Jenson Button and team-mate Sebastian Vettel.

German GP – Hamilton Stays Fastest

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton again topped the timesheets in Saturday morning’s final practice session for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, two-tenths of a second faster than Renault’s Fernando Alonso.

Running with a new aerodynamic package the Briton was quickest on Friday and he maintained his good form as he clocked one minute 31.121 seconds.

The Renault of Fernando Alonso was second and Ferrai’s Felipe Massa third.

Championship leader Jenson Button was down in 11th as the drivers struggled for grip in the cold conditions.

This morning’s session again took place in cold (12C) and overcast conditions, although this time the rain held off throughout the hour.

Ferrari have also come to Germany having made a few aerodynamic tweaks and they too appeared to pay dividends with both drivers in the top six.

But it was a different story for leading constructor Brawn GP as Button complained of being unable to get any heat into his front tyres.

The Briton’s team-mate, Rubens Barrichello, also struggled as he finished down in 14th.
